I assess your needs, develop a plan of action, then we go to work. While we work together, I clearly and concisely educate you about your body. This is important, so you perform movements and exercises on your own.

Joe came highly recommended through our physical therapist. We found him to be very professional in his service to us. He took his time to introduce us to the proper way of exercising, careful not to mistakenly overdo or strain muscles. His caring enthusiasm and thoroughness inspired us to improve our physical fitness. He shows us the importance of exercise as one gets older by his caution/encouragement to make one want to succeed.
I can recommend Joe without any reservations! After talking with my Concierge doctor about having trouble standing from chairs, walking properly and just not moving like I know I should; he recommend Joe to me... Joe assessed my “needs” and goals right away and off we went to work on them. My quality of life has improved with his thorough explanations and tips on how to move more efficiently.
Joe Pitrone is just outstanding. Competent, thoughtful, conscientious, therapeutically excellent…and most importantly…kind and caring, based on his help to me and my family, he has my recommendation.
Joe came recommended by our physical therapist. Joe has been a tremendous help in assisting my husband, Greg Minck, accomplish more than anyone ever thought Greg could accomplish after a 2nd brain tumor surgery left my husband paralyzed on one side. I don’t know who is more excited with Greg’s progress – Joe or us. Joe is also very concerned and caring about Greg’s health and often checks in on how Greg is doing after doctor visits or on days when he knows Greg is not up to par. Joe is also a great asset to Greg’s attitude. Joe is encouraging and fun which causes Greg to look forward to their time together. Joe makes Greg feel like Greg the person – not Greg the patient or Greg the guy with cancer who walks with a cane.
I have been working out with Joe once a week for almost 2 years. My primary focus is incorporating resistance training into a general fitness program and improving my balance and coordination. Joe uses his education and experience in the field to great advantage. He ensures I am using the right weight and the correct form when using free weights and machines. That’s important to me to ensure I am getting the most out of my time in the gym and to prevent injuries. Joe is very attentive during our sessions and is careful to tailor the training to my individual needs and capabilities. He’s given me a number of exercises to do on my own extending the benefit of our training time. I have noticed the results in my overall heath and strength. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone interested in improving his or her health and mobility.
When I ran into back problems on longer-distance bicycling trips, I finally decided to talk to somebody about flexibility training. Joe was the guy I was referred to. He zeroed right in on the issue and gave me the exercises and guidance I needed. I was impressed by his knowledge about the right things to stretch and how to stretch them without injury. After a couple of months, I was able to participate in a two-day 150 mile bike ride without back strain. I have seen Joe at work with other clients, he clearly has the intelligence, knowledge and skills to help a wide range of clients - from someone looking for a tough workout to someone needing a more therapeutic approach.
Joe Pitrone has been my trainer for nearly two years. During my ten years post-retirement living in Naples, Florida, I have worked with several trainers and Joe has been, without a doubt, the most effective in developing an exercise and rehabilitative program for me. He has a thorough understanding of the special issues for people of my age (over 70) and has exceptional interpersonal skills and empathy which complement his exercise protocols. I have observed Joe working with patients disabled by stroke, post-operative patients, and the very elderly. He is highly effective and encourages and inspires his clients. My careers in both the Navy and civilian life have been in the provision of medical and health services for over 40 years. Without reservation, I enthusiastically recommend Joe Pitrone.
I am a 67 year old female who has been very active on and off for 45 years. Due to an auto accident with a serious foot injury and 8 months of physical therapy I really needed someone to help me get back to my active lifestyle. I met Joe Pitrone and he has been a real asset in regaining my motivation and activity level. Joe is a real people person with a caring personality and winning smile. But above all else, he really knows what he's doing. His training in sports medicine gives him an edge in the area of knowing what the body is capable of. I have benefited from his expertise and have also enjoyed watching him work with other clients in a compassionate and knowledgeable way.
For the past two years Joe has been the physical trainer for my partner with posterior cortical atrophy, a form of Alzheimer’s that particularly affects physical coordination and vision. As soon as Joe took over the training, he adequately tailored the weight training to my partner’s limitations and introduced coordination exercises which the doctor credits with having considerably extended the patient’s independent mobility. This patient has had trainers before and experienced mild muscle injuries under their supervision, none of which have occurred with Joe, despite a rigorous routine. And it goes beyond technical competence to an endlessly patient and caring attitude. As my partner loses more and more capacity, his sessions with Joe are one of the two things in which he shows abiding interest. Nor is our experience unique. On the day I signed Joe up as my partner’s trainer, a woman who overheard our conversation came over to me afterward to say I would not regret it. Based on her experience with Joe as her disabled husband’s trainer, she has been proven right.
Joe Pitrone has been helping our daughter Megan with wellness and rehabilitation training since October 2013. It is an honor and a privilege to write about Joe and how he has influenced our daughter’s life. Nine years ago our daughter Megan Cook Vincent was in a severe automobile accident, resulting in a traumatic brain injury and stroke. Her recovery has been long and intense. After moving to Naples, we knew that she could not join just any fitness center but that she needed professional, individual rehabilitation and wellness training. We let her join NCH Wellness Center where they recommended Joe Pitrone after discussing her medical history. We met Joe and immediately felt he would make a difference in Megan’s life and ongoing recovery. We have worked with many skilled therapists and rehabilitation specialists since her accident, but Joe’s gentle manner and demeanor is extraordinary. For someone so young, he is exceptionally well educated and knowledgeable in his field. Because of his great compassion, patience, and integrity, Megan has made considerable progress. He has an amazing gift to motivate her as she continues to reach her goals.
I have worked with Joe primarily to improve my flexibility. Joe is an expert in his knowledge of how to counter the inevitable effects of age on flexibility and balance. He’s given me exercises to do on my own and has given me a renewed enthusiasm for resistance training. I especially appreciated his help with stretching exercises and an occasional table stretch for my hamstrings…when he’s done stretching my legs, I feel like I am walking on air! I highly recommend Joe as a very capable, knowledgeable and personable trainer.
